Happy 75 B-Day

A BIG Happy 75th Birthday to Calvin Richard Klein who was born on November 19, 1942 in-the Bronx, New York, USA . An icon in American fashion design who launched the company that would later become Calvin Klein Inc., in 1968. In addition to clothing, he also has given his name to a range of perfumes, watches, and jewelry.

In the early 1980s, Klein changed the American market of men's underwear—one where most men's underwear was white, purchased in packs of three by a "wife, mother or girlfriend when they needed to be" to one where "the American male [cares] about the brand of something few ever see".

In mid-December 2002, Calvin Klein Inc. (CKI ) was sold to Phillips Van Heusen Corp (PVH), whose then CEO Bruce Klatsky was the driving force behind the deal, for about $400 million in cash, $30 million in stock as well as licensing rights and royalties linked to revenues over the following 15 years that were estimated at $200 to $300 million. The sale also included an ongoing personal financial incentive for Klein based on future sales of the Calvin Klein brand.

Sorry to tell you you'd lose that bet. I don't own a single item of CK.

I can safely say that I never once fell for his advertising hype. My closet is Kleinless.

Depends on my mood. If I want the Euro look I go with D&G or Diesel. For the grungy Cali style A&F or Hollister. However, for a good business design Banana Republic, Gucci and Calvin Klein their lines of business attire give me a solid professional look every time.

I don't have designer anything (almost) in my wardrobe, too expensive. The one item that I have is a golf shirt, Hillfiger I believe. I purchased it new at Value Village (a used clothing store); for just a few bucks. I thought that I had a super bargain, until I washed it. What a piece of shit; learned my lesson, will not do that again.

My wardrobe lacks golfing shirts since I wear about anything to the golf course that befits the day. Right now matching designer undies and tee shirt as I set here.
